The Right Perspective / Holding Your Head At The Right Angle
The Right Perspective / Holding Your Head At The Right Angle
| News - Spiritual |
I was just outside cutting grass and the sky was looking like it could give birth at any moment. I had finished cutting 80% of the yard when big Paul Bunyan-sized drops started falling. When I reached 85% the sky opened up to Noah-like proportions. I continued cutting grass and finished moments before the thunder and lightening started. I had to say "Thank you Jesus."
I was thankful because I held my head the right way. When I suggest something to my wife that will most likely will be something in my favor or tell her something that I've done that I know she'll think, "What a knucklehead!" she'll say this, "I guess I don't get it because I wasn't holding my head right." What that means is that maybe she wasn't looking at it in the right perspective.
Some of the greatest works of art looks different every time you look at them and you find hidden beauties from different angles. I could have been all upset because the rain started before I finished cutting the grass. But I took it as a blessing from God. He chose to rain His blessing down on me and cool my sweaty brow. Also the rain washed any dust off of grapes on my grapevine that "just happened" to be in the same area that I was finishing the yard. I hadn't had breakfast so I ate a few grapes that had ripened early. God is constantly blessing!
Hold your head the right way when those trying times come. 1 Peter 4:12-13
